The Richardson Community Band Mission Statement
The Richardson Community Band is a diverse, all-volunteer wind ensemble whose mission is to provide quality and challenging musical experiences for its members while educating and entertaining family audiences in Richardson and the Metroplex.
The Richardson Community Band is dedicated to providing an opportunity for life-long musical expression and enjoyment, promoting artistic enrichment in our community, and preserving the rich repertoire and cultural history of the wind band.
The band offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that unites its members through their common love of music, all the while striving for the highest level of musicianship.
For over 30 years, the Richardson Community Band has been providing affordable entertainment for families all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The volunteer members of this organization are dedicated to donating their time and energy to make music that will bring joy not only to their lives, but to the lives of others. From the Summer Series held on the lawn of the Richardson, Texas Civic Center/Library complex, to the indoor concerts in the Showcase Series, each concert is designed to offer a variety of repertoire that will appeal to all age levels. The concerts are made possible thanks to the generous financial support of the Richardson Arts Commission, the members of the Richardson Community Band and the generous donations of audience members.
It is hoped that this web site will provide information about the band so that more people can enjoy the efforts of the band, both as performers and audience members.
