Support the Band

September, 2009

Dear Band Friends,

As members of band-music-loving community, you can be very proud of the fine tradition of musical arts which you have helped establish and continue to support. Year after year the Richardson Community Band is able to provide top-quality entertainment due to your generosity. Free summer concerts on Civic Center lawn, The Great Fountain Plaza Festival and the Fourth of July Concert in Breckenridge Park have become a part of Richardson culture, and for this we thank you. We play our winter concerts in the Charles W. Eisemann Center for a nominal fee to help with facility rental. And, don’t forget two free concerts at the Richardson Senior Center in December and May ----all are welcome to attend. See the web site for dates and times: www.richardsoncommunityband.org

Your financial support is needed to carry on this tradition of family concerts. Please show your support by making a tax-deductible contribution to the band. With your generous help the Richardson Community Band will continue to provide fun-filled, ear pleasing musical events.

Your support of the Richardson Community Band’s 2009-10 concerts will be greatly appreciated. We always program some of your favorite music from the big band swing era, circus music, patriotic selections, Broadway musicals, Dixieland, pop, traditional and contemporary selections. And don’t forget John Phillip Sousa.

We look forward to seeing you at many of our 2009-10 concerts. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.

Sincerely,
Ray Brinks
President, Richardson Community Band
